This very special Rwanda and Tanzania Vacation was planned for a mother and daughter from Houston who had survived a very difficult year. They wanted a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience plus a little relaxation, so we sent them to see gorillas and the Great Migration, then ended their journey at a beach resort.

Their Rwanda and Tanzania Vacation began in the beautiful, mountainous landscape of Parc National des Volcans. They were transferred through Rwanda’s scenic mountains to the luxurious Virunga Lodge, where they were treated to picturesque lake and volcano views from the comfort of their private deck. The next day, they took the ultimate adventure: gorilla trekking in the rainforest. Their expert guide led them through the forest to a gorilla nesting site, where they were able to watch these rare creatures interact with each other up close. On their final day at Virunga, they took a day hike to the top of the Visoke volcano.

Continuing their Rwanda and Tanzania Vacation, they spent the night at a luxury hotel in Kigali, then transferred to a 1920s-style safari camp in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. During their stay at Singita Sabora, they explored the Serengeti on thrilling game drives and saw thousands of wildebeest thundering across the plains in a natural spectacle known as the Great Migration. They were also able to see lions stalking their abundant prey.

Next, they moved on to Singita Faru Faru Lodge to continue their exploration of Serengeti National Park. They enjoyed exciting game drives and bush walks to search for the Big 5. In between safari adventures, they indulged in relaxing spa treatments, scrumptious meals, and world-class wine at the lodge.

They ended their Rwanda and Tanzania Vacation with 3 nights at Baraza Resort & Spa, located in Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania. During their stay, they enjoyed plenty of leisure time on the beach, as well as scuba diving, a Swahili cooking class, and a Town and Spice Tour to discover why Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Islands.”

At last, their Rwanda and Tanzania Vacation came to an end. They were transferred to the airport to begin their journey home.
