We designed this Luxury Air Safari: Kenya Adventure Package for 2 couples from North Carolina who were traveling together. They wanted to see the highlights of Kenya on safari, and enjoy the luxurious comfort of small-group chartered flights between safari parks. We arranged this tour with our friends at Scenic Air, who offer fabulous business class-style flights. It was the perfect trip for our clients!
They started their safari in Tsavo East National Park. At 9 times the size of the Masai Mara, this massive park is home to an abundance of wildlife, yet it can take some patience to see. They spent 1 night here and enjoyed a night game drive to see the unique animals of the area. Then, they headed to Tsavo West. While only about half the size of Tsavo East, this park offers more varied and dramatic scenery: extinct volcanic peaks, natural springs, open plains, rocky outcrops, and lava caves.
Next for their Luxury Air Safari: Kenya Adventure Package, they flew to the iconic Amboseli National Park—enjoying breathtaking views of Mt Kilimanjaro from the air en route. They stayed at the luxurious Satao Elerai safari camp, where the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro provided an ideal scenic backdrop. On their game drives and walking safaris, they were able to see many of the park’s famous tusker elephants.
The last stop on their safari adventure was the world-famous Masai Mara. They spent 2 nights here at Karen Blixen Camp. From their rooms, they had direct views over the Mara River with its resident wildlife, so they didn’t even have to leave camp to see animals! However, they still enjoyed many thrilling game drives in the Mara, as well as authentic cultural interactions with the local Maasai.
After a week of incredible safari moments, their Luxury Air Safari: Kenya Adventure Package came to an end. They flew back to Nairobi to begin their journey home, armed with hundreds of amazing safari photos and memories to last a lifetime!
Day 1
The adventure begins! Fly from Nairobi to Mombasa to begin your 8-day scenic air safari through Kenya. In the low season, your group might get a private plane all to yourselves (minimum 4 passengers), but there will be no more than 10 guests on your trip. These comfortable flights, with large leather seats, are hands-down the most luxurious way to travel through Kenya! Throughout your trip, your pilot will be sure to fly low, Out of Africa style, to give you incredible views of the scenery and wildlife below.
From Mombasa, fly to the remote Tsavo East National Park. Most Kenyan safari-goers don’t make it out to this corner of the country, which is 9 times the size of the Masai Mara. Your home for the night is Satao Camp. This intimate camp has just 20 spacious, ensuite tented rooms, each with private verandahs overlooking the camp’s very own watering hole. The tents are carefully positioned to allow uninterrupted views of the visiting wildlife whilst ensuring total privacy.

Day 2 – 3
Today, head over to the nearby Tsavo West National Park. While only about half the size of Tsavo East, this park offers more varied and dramatic scenery: extinct volcanic peaks, natural springs, open plains, rocky outcrops, and lava caves. On your game drives in Tsavo, you may see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, rare rhinos, and much more. While your safari schedule is flexible, the best time for a game drive is in the early morning and late afternoon/evening. Evening game drives are capped off by sundowner cocktails in a scenic location.
In the midst of this vast wilderness, your home for the next 2 nights is the luxurious Severin Safari Camp. Enjoy a unique combination of adventure, recreation and wellness, very personal service, and culinary delights. A relaxing spa and pool will help you lounge away the time between game drives.

Day 4 – 5
The adventure continues with a scenic flight to Amboseli National Park! This popular park features large tusker elephants and views of snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro, which makes a perfect backdrop for photos. Spend 2 nights at the gorgeous Satao Elerai safari camp. Settle into your elegantly furnished suite room. Large sliding doors open out onto your own private verandah overlooking the plains below. You can also take a dip in the lovely outdoor pool with commanding views of Kilimanjaro. During your stay, in addition to safari game drives, you can set out on a walking safari—providing a completely different view of this wilderness and wildlife—and enjoy authentic cultural interactions with the local communities.

Day 6 – 7
The last stage of your adventure is the world-famous Masai Mara, home to large herds of grazers like wildebeest, zebras, impala, giraffes, elephants, and more, as well as thrilling big cats. Spend 2 nights at the fabulous Karen Blixen Camp. A small number of luxury tents are placed with undisturbed views along the Mara River, so you don’t even have to leave camp to see animals coming to drink and cool off in the water.
Spend your days exploring the Masai Mara and its rich wildlife, venturing out on walking safaris led by expert local guides, and interacting with some of the local Maasai people. You can also rise early one morning and be treated to breathtaking views on a romantic hot air balloon safari over the Mara.
